Hill 47
December 1916, the Ardennes. The telephone line to the forward post is cut. Three runners have already gone out. None of them came back.
You follow the wire through the snow with a carbide lantern — your only light and your only weapon. What lives out here backs away from the light, hard the first time, barely at all by the third. It learns. And the moment your lantern goes dark, it stops stalking and comes straight at you.
Wind the flame up for reach and a harder shove — but it burns the carbide fast, hisses loud enough to carry, and the next gust will probably take it out. Wind it down and survive on almost nothing.
Four breaks to splice. One life. About 15 minutes, if you make it.
A tilt-shift diorama built from low-poly PS1-style terrain and 2D billboard sprites, with a fully procedural soundscape — no audio files, just synthesis.
